Redefining the standards for corporate facilities


The objective

LM Engineering was engaged to project manage the relocation of Toyota’s Eastern Region operations from Woolooware Bay to a new premise located in Olympic Park.

Toyota’s Woolooware Bay site was a large multi-faceted facility, south of Sydney, with warehouse operations, sales, fleet management, marketing and onsite training. When operations at Woolooware Bay we reassigned, the decision was made to relocate to a new and improved 2530m2 office space which would redefine Toyota’s expectations for their corporate facilities.

The process

The work completed by LM Engineering; who were the engaged project managers included the following:

  1. Briefing the architects and working with design consultants to ensure the standard of all design components met internal stakeholders expectations including facilities, marketing and IT.

  2. Managing all stages of the approval process with internal and external stakeholders.

  3. Tendering, procurement and management of the principal contractor for the construction fit-out.

  4. Overseeing the Change Management strategy, designed to manage the process throughout the office relocation.

  5. Managing the physical move and overseeing the various trades and contractors involved.

The outcome

All existing site operations were successfully relocated through a change management process which ensured that all internal stakeholders expectations were met and productively delivered .
